Roy Nelson is a former judicial law clerk and prosecutor who concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and real estate litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Roy served as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade State attorney’s Office where he was responsible for hundreds of cases and handled dozens of bench and jury trials to verdict. Roy primarily represents the interests of national real estate developers, creditors, and some local businesses including, condo-hotel operators, condominium associations and an international cell-phone distributor. Roy also helps clients with commercial and residential landlord/tenant issues, condominium association litigation and administrative hearings related to code enforcement.
Roy received his bachelor’s degree and graduated with honors from Arizona State University and received his law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. Roy is a member of the Florida Bar and the District of Columbia Bar and has also represented clients in the defense of cases filed in federal courts throughout the United States.
